The final Eurotour event of the season is underway with 40 British players taking part including World Championship bronze medallist Karl Boyes and World Champion Daryl Peach.

There are a number of British players playing in their first Eurotour event, Colin Gray, Andy Jeronimidis and Alan Millership.

Jeronimidis has won his first two matches to set up a tie with World Champion Daryl Peach.

Snooker: Day One Upsets for Hendry and Doherty

Day One of the Maplins UK Championships has already seen two former world champions beaten in the first round.

Stephen Hendry was the first to fall to rising star Mark Allen - the scoreline over these longer matches was also a surprise as Allen beat him 9-4.

The second champ to be dismissed was Ken Doherty defeated by another player currently climbing the rankings and finding a bit of form.

9-ball: Muratore Shines in Spain

Italian Bruno Muratore has won his first ever European tour event by beating Radoslaw Babica of Poland 10-9 to take the title and 5000 euro first prize.

Muratore had a great weekend beating European Number 1 Konstantin Stepanov in the 1/4 finals and then beating last tour stop winner Mark Gray in the semi-finals.

After his defeat to Marco Fu in the 2008 China Open Ronnie O’Sullivan has again caused massive controversy in a post match press conference.

The video is apparantly on a Chinese video sharing site where Ronnie aparantly made lewd remarks and sexual innuendo’s in front of the assembled media in China.

He was fined last year for walking out of his match with Stephen Hendry at the UK championships
